If my kids had a food love language, Nick’s would be brownies. Hands down, without question. Earlier this week, through our community’s swim meet, Nick volunteered to donate to their bake sale and help sell the baked goods.
And by the time we had left, he had spent $5 on brownies to bring home.
Brownies are definitely his love language.
And Madeline? Hers is much broader, and much like my Mom’s.
Chocolate.
It doesn’t much matter what type. If there is something chocolatey to be had, she is all.over.it. She has a sweet tooth like no other, and I would say I have no idea where it comes from (clearly not from me!), but she is very much like her grandmother in that respect.
If she needs to be bribed for any reason, chocolate is the way to go.
So when we had an opportunity to try out Merci Chocolates, how could I say no?
Individually packaged in a slim box, they feature smooth milky chocolate filled with a variety of flavors … like hazelnut, coffee and cream, and dark mousse. Seven flavors in all.
Something for everyone.
Chocolate lovers unite.
Because it’s a little more upscale in flavors and presentation than, say, your average candy bar, Merci Chocolates is the perfect small something to give when you need to say thank you.
Or good job!
Or hi.
Or welcome to the neighborhood.
Or … my very favorite reason, always and forever … just because.
At the end of Nick’s school year, we gave a few of these boxed chocolates to some of his favorite teachers. The ones that he didn’t have regularly, but that made a big impact on his year. With a handwritten note expressing our gratitude, it was perfect.
The chocolates are smooth and creamy and have just a hint of their individual flavor. Little bites when you need something sweet to take the edge off. Or to bribe your child. Whichever way you are going.
They are available at Wal-Mart, Amazon, Walgreens, Target … like, everywhere. And very affordably priced!
With smooth delicious chocolate like this, you can start thanking everyone, without breaking the bank.
And Merci Chocolates would like to help you do just that. One lucky Sweetnicks’ reader will receive their own package from Merci Chocolates. Just leave me a comment and tell me who you would thank with a box of chocolate.
Have at it!
Tomorrow? Either a restaurant review, a book review, or a summer bucket list update. Stay tuned.

I would thank my husband for always being my friend, my soul mate, and my number one fan/supporter.
Well, ideally I would like to thank God, because without him I would be nothing, but I’m not sure if he eats chocolate, so I guess I’d have to give these to my hubby :)
