New Build-A-Bear Product Line {and Giveaway}

Last week, Madeline came to me and told me that we hadn’t been to Build-A-Bear Workshop since she was in Kindergarten.

A whole year ago!

And now, all of the sudden, it was a desperate situation and we needed to go NOW and get her another bear.

I went through all the excuses … she had just gotten a bear during Spring Break … she has a TON of stuffed animals … all of which fell on deaf ears.

She was so determined, she went to get her piggy bank to start counting her money to offer to pay for it herself.

And that’s exactly what she did.

The next day, while her brother was out at an event, I took her to the store and she used her own, hard-earned money to get the next bear to add to her collection.

I did, however, spring for one outfit.

Because a naked bear just wouldn’t do.

So when a bear from Build-A-Bear Workshop’s new product line, Honey Girls, arrived on our doorstep today, I don’t have to tell you how excited she was.

And it didn’t hurt that today was the last day of school – what a perfect way to end the day.

The Honey Girls are completely unlike anything else that Build-A-Bear has. Super colorful, with bright attention-getting outfits, they were designed to empower girls to follow their dreams.

A message I can totally get behind.

Teegan is the fearless and bold lead singer. Risa is the guitarist, and she is all about music and being creative. Lastly, Viv is the drummer, who’s not only a great friend but also a talented inventor.

Viv is the one that ended up waiting for us after school today.

Each character comes with an individual song (on Viv, you can hear the music if you press her drum), and these characters have a star stuffed inside them, instead of the usual heart.

Too cute. Madeline was all too pleased to add another bear to her collection – especially one she didn’t have to use her own money for! – and she especially loved the bright colors on the clothes and accessories.

Pretty much a bear after her own heart.
