Madeline celebrated her First Communion this weekend, and we celebrated right along with her. It was truly a whirlwind few days, starting with their Communion rehearsal on Thursday night, a sleepover with one of her BFFs on Friday, and all the last minute details on Saturday. It was like prepping for a wedding all over again!
As I finally crashed last night, I realized there were a few pictures I missed getting, but before I got caught up in that disappointment, I refocused. She had a beautiful day and was with the most important people in her life. I couldn’t ask for anything more.
The day (and the decisions leading up to it) were very much all her. She chose the dress, the shoes, the headpiece, and even did her own hair. She wanted a red and white theme for her party, and our Rainbow Cake for dessert.
The day was truly all about her, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

She is just too lovely and cute and looks like she is about to bust with confidence and joy! I’m sure it was a fun and meaningful day for your whole family.
