Birthday weekend kicks off with a double rainbow? Yes, please!

Couldn’t wait to recreate this picture with these two. Ten years in between the two photos.

Roast chicken, plantains, crackling, rice, beans, potato – enough for an army for $10.

When I was in high school, my first job was working in a stationery store, and I bought Mr. Sketch markers with my first paycheck and employee discount, and this marker line remains one of my favorites to this day. I actually have a few sets of my own that I don’t let the kids touch. Mr. Sketch has a new line of scented crayons and ice cream-scented markers that I am totally lusting after.

Cashed in on all the free birthdays offers that ended up in my email box this weekend … free frappuccino at Starbucks, coffee at Dunkin Donuts, and a sushi/burrito fusion for lunch. Perfection.

Came home to the sweetest gift on my doorstep from an old and dear friend.

When the kids asked me what I wanted for my birthday, I told them I wanted to sleep in, to not have to cook, and to get a picture of the three of us. Love this.
