Since my kids were going to be with their Dad on Christmas Eve, we celebrated Christmas Eve Eve instead. Because I taught a kids’ workshop in the afternoon, I took the stress-free route for dinner and we all enjoyed Chinese take-out (and a massive amount of leftovers).

One of my favorite traditions in our town is that Santa comes around on Christmas Eve and visits all the kids, handing out stockings filled with candy.

For a brief moment, these two punks were friends and even slept together … until precisely 12:38 am when one of them must have woken up and realized the travesty of sleeping next to ANOTHER DOG, and I woke up to them duking it out.

Everyone had matching pajamas for the holidays, but these two were my only willing photography participants.

I opted out of sending Christmas cards this year, so this was as good as it got. And if it means a photo with my kiddos, I will totally take it.

It’s hard to see in the picture, but this gorgeous cake was sprinkled with edible glitter and it was everything a pink ombre cake should be.

The obligatory “grandkids waiting to be let in to open presents” photo.
That’s a wrap on Christmas Eve Eve, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day! Hope you and your family had an equally wonderful holiday!
