A kid-friendly, guilt-free, delicious snack that is packed with protein and calcium… let’s talk Yoplait’s Go-Gurt Protein.
When it comes to packing the kids’ lunch boxes, I do my best to keep it interesting.
Mostly in the interest of making sure they eat their lunch.
And because after packing 1,067 lunches (a total approximation, it has definitely been way more), I need to fight boredom on the regular.
For all of us.
I switch it up daily, packing hot items, cold items, new twists on old favorites, leftovers, sandwiches, breadless meals, an a la carte smattering, and more.
One thing I never have to worry about, though, is if Nick and Madeline are getting enough calcium or protein. It’s practically a lunch box (and outside of school) staple. They both love yogurt and eat it daily, and they both have a few favorite yogurts that they will eat at home. But when it comes to packing their school lunches, I usually stick to Yoplait’s Go-Gurts.
1 – Because they are easy for them to open.
2 – Because they love them.
3 – Because it’s a small enough amount that they can finish it, along with the rest of their lunch, in the allotted time.
4 – Because it’s good for them.
5 – And lastly, and perhaps most importantly, it doesn’t require me remembering to include a spoon.
Because, true story, sometimes I do.
And then the Mom Guilt. Oh man, the Mom Guilt.
So Go-Gurts are a no brainer. They have been since Nick was in pre-school.
No artificial colors or flavors. No high fructose corn syrup.
Recently, my friends at Yoplait dropped me a line to let me know about the new Go-Gurt Protein. Twice as much protein than other yogurts on the market.
Which is all sorts of awesome.

Wanna know a secret if you’re adding Go-Gurts to YOUR kids’ lunch boxes?
Freeze them. Then they will do double-duty for you. Acting as a small ice pack to keep the other lunch box contents cold, they will be soft enough (and still cold!) at lunch time to eat.
Or you can keep them frozen in the freezer for when the kids are clamoring for a popsicle.
Perfection at every corner.
