Review: Eyeglasses from Firmoo

May 3, 2013 · Narrative

Untitled
When it comes to the chance to do anything online.

Or with my iPhone.

Or to have something automated.

Or to be able to do something from the comfort of my own home, instead of adding another errand to our crazy list.

I AM ALL IN.

And so it was with these glasses.

Remember the years ago when you’d have to go to the eyeglass store, sit through your appointment, get your prescription, choose glasses, get fitted, and then wait and wait and wait for them to come?

So.much.time.spent.

And money.

But the times, they are a’changin’.

I had my eye exam last year, but didn’t buy a new pair of glasses right then. Even though my prescription had changed (decreased in strength, go figure!), I just couldn’t rationalize spending serious money on a new pair. I only wear my glasses at night or on an occasional day when my eyes and contacts just need a break.

But then I started learning about places online that you could buy glasses from. Inexpensively. Easily. Stress-free. Wide selections.

It doesn’t get better than that.

Oh, but it does. With Firmoo, new customers get their first pair of glasses free.

Yes, free. No strings. Swear.

Just pay (very) reasonable shipping and handling.

So for that coughcough price, I decided to get a style that is completely different than something I would normally wear. I wanted thick and black.

And I succeeded.

Ordering the glasses couldn’t be more simple. You choose glasses by style and shape, taking your pick from a huge collection. If you’re unsure how they’ll look on your face, you can even upload a picture of yourself and then superimpose the frames on your face. A few clicks later and they’ll be winging their way to you in no time.

Their customer service was pretty stellar too. I had made a mistake when I entered one of the numbers needed, and a Firmoo representative e-mailed me to clarify my mistake. Love that.

My pair arrived in under a week, well-packaged, in a hard glasses cases and included a lens cleaning cloth. They are well made and couldn’t be more awesome.

When Nick saw the glasses on my face for the first time, his first reaction was “You’re not going to wear those out, are you?” Needless to say, he wasn’t a fan of the style, and was quite relieved to know that I had other glasses available.

Kids.

So if you want to take the sting out of buying a pair of eyeglasses, give Firmoo a look. You’ll be happy with the experience, and get to keep those dollars in your wallet.

Happy weekend!

Next week?
The winning recipe from my recent Foods from Chile post.

A book review (see if I put that here, it means I have to finish one of the three books I’m currently reading).

I’ve very much been avoiding buying new glasses because I don’t feel like going through that whole process! Definitely going to look into Firmoo.
